Baptism
The Bible clearly teaches that God commands water baptism! We
need to understand how vitally important water baptism really is in God's Plan
of salvation for mankind.
Jesus said, "believe the Gospel." The Gospel is the Good News of the soon
coming Kingdom of God, in which Jesus will then be King of all the earth!

A scenic spot along the banks of the River Jordan.
This is the river in which
many repentant believers were baptized by John "the Baptist." It was also
in this same river that John baptized Jesus Christ.
After Jesus had completed His earthly ministry, had paid the
penalty for the sins of all mankind, had risen from the dead, and had ascended
to heaven, the Holy Spirit was sent on the Day of Pentecost just as Christ had
promised. Thousands were in Jerusalem for this festival. When the Spirit of God
came upon and into the disciples that morning, the people came in awe and wonder
to see what had occurred. Then Peter preached to the multitude gathered there.
Thousands of people were convicted in their hearts. They realized their lost
condition. They realized Christ was indeed the Messiah, the SAVIOR! "What shall
we do?" they cried out to Peter and the disciples. Peter, now inspired by God's
Holy Spirit, answered straight and clear. "REPENT," shouted Peter, "and be
BAPTIZED every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins,
and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit." (Acts 2:38).
